What's your best advice to solve writer's/creator's block?
by
David Ramos
Curious to know what has worked for others in the past!
What helped me out most, especially with writer's block, was to make a content calendar. This way, I can plan out my posts and put them on my to-do list.
It turns out that once they are on my to-list, I am always able to write an outline, a draft, and finally get a post to completion.
So in my case (it might be different for you), my problem was not having a plan/milestones.
I keep a list of content ideas, primarily interesting headlines I think off. Once I need to make a content calendar for a certain period (usually a quarter), it's less daunting since I have a list of posts that I can plan in.
Nice! I've found that the scheduling/planning aspect can definitely help.
Do you ever look at your content calendar and not feel motivated to dive into any of the topics?
Having a daily journal to keep me writing even a tiny bit every day helped me tremendously.
Ooh, did you follow a certain system or daily prompt for journaling? Or was it just open for whatever you wanted to write?
The only rule I had initially was to "not break the chain" I was writing a paragraph or two every night until it became a habit.
