Design has many branches in itself. I know many designers have different processes.
So, what’s your design process?
Here’s mine;
If it’s possible, we usually start with user interviews.
Here’s an example of our interview question sheet:
After the interview, we usually create affinity maps to analyze the interview. Affinity maps are basically sorting the interview outcomes based on their topics, use cases, emotions etc. (whatever it make sense on your project)
Then we start creating the task, or user flows depending on the size of the project.(1) (At Fluffzy we use Fig Jam lately)
Once we finished with that, we start creating the IA map (2). And that’s the last part of the white boarding.
All these white board items make it easier to design high fidelity wireframes.
We create a checklist from these white board items, and always put them on the scene while designing the high fidelity wireframes.
