What's your preferred authentication method as an end-user?
To be clear, looking to hear whats your preferred authentication method as an end-user (not as a developer).
Example:
- Phone Number
- Gmail
- Social (fb, linkedin, github etc)

I hate the social/OAuth sign ins honestly.
Email. I have different email accounts for personal, work, side-projects etc. so I sign up using the relevant email address.
I generally prefer email/pass or gmail. Sometimes github if it's a developer tool that needs access to github anyway. From my experience as a developer, email/pass and gmail are by far the most popular.
Thanks, @Gabe. Even I remember in IH, someone mentioned Gmail has more conversion that email/pass.
BTW, great work with Divjoy. Even our website is built using react + firebase + GitLab + Cloudflare.

Even though you're asking for our "end-user" perspective, a lot of us here are developers so we'll probably have different opinions than non-developer users, so keep that in mind.
That said, I'm pretty biased because I started justauthenticate.me ;) but I also use bitwarden for my password manager so I don't personally mind passwords that much.
So for me:
I'm really not a fan of social login (which includes gmail in my mind). And I prefer handing out my email address rather than my phone number.
I've not signed up for services before because they only had social login.
I think that this bias due to asking a technical audience is really something that should be kept in mind!
Username -> email -> magic link. Really hate giving my phone number. Very rarely use social.
Gmail -> Social -> User/Pass -> Phone for me
Lately, I've seen some people using the "magic link" method where you receive a link in your email that authenticates you for some time. I really disliked it as an end-user, it's so annoying having to open my email every time I want to log in.

Depends on where:
Something I plan to use in the future and i consider it serious: anything works. OAuth or plain username/email & password
Some idiotic website that just wants to collect emails? Fake username and fake email. Under no circumstances I would give them something worth while.
Now, i can create a fake gmail account too, but usually that's way too much work. Something that takes under 10 seconds is preferable and that i don't have to remember.
