There are two most used pricing models:
Which one do you use? Did you try both with some testing? What's your insights about that?
Thanks
I haven't released mine yet, but it will be a combination of free, pay-per-use, and subscription (which includes the product in the pay-per-use).
No testing done yet, but those are the pricing plans that make sense based on how often the product(s) will be used.
Hey @guzguz
at NameRobot we have several products. It depends on the product.
NameRobot Toolbox
We mix both. Basically, the Toolbox is free, but not all tools are free and its with advertising. You can choose if you really want to have all tools or just the toolbox without ads (paid plans / 1 month).
So here you can test in advance.
Namefruits
Namefruits can be tested up to a certain level. At some point the AI says, hey if you want to continue it costs now.
So here you can test in advance, too.
Flying Names
It costs from the start. Without ifs and buts. As safety for the customer he has the possibility to reject some names and new names are searched. Depending on the package there are more or less rounds.
NameScore
At the moment you have to pay immediately for the report. But, we are currently considering whether to make part of the report free of charge and if you want the complete report, you have to pay.
Explanation
Basically this is quite simple, as soon as people have to get to work, the customer / user have to pay in advance. Software, services, AI's, automatisms, you can consider other models.
That's how we got down to it.
Wow man, you have them all! ;) Do you have many "for free" users? There are many discussions popping out like "Don't give your product for free" and etc. while at the same time thousands of businesses still offer free tier...
I'm considering of a free plan is good approach for hooking the potential paying customers, or it hurts conversions rates... The question is if it's worth to offer free plan or not, of course it's complicated to measure that.
First, nothing is free. The free version is with ads I.e. somewhere you pay with your time / data.
The new toolbox isn't that old yet (two or three month) But the number of users is increasing every week. Because of the age it is hard to say right now, if it is good or not. I think in 6 months I can say more here.
But we also have paying customers. And the quantity is slowly returning to the old toolbar. In addition, there are ad-free subscriptions which are used.
You have to think really hard about free plans. This must fit to your model.
The question is always how you monetize it. If your product is free, you have to find other ways, which are often quite difficult. But the customer doesn't want to buy a pig in a poke. ... 🤔 we've been thinking a long time about how to do pricing / memberships / plans.
At the moment it looks like it will work for us. 😊
I hope I was able to give you a little insight.
