Wheel of Life app — silly “self-help toy” or a legit side project?

I use the Wheel of Life quite often.

For those who don’t know it: it’s basically a pie chart where you rate major life areas (health, career, finance, relationships, etc.) on a 1–10 scale to see how balanced (or not) your life is.

Right now, my Wheel lives in Excel as a simple pie chart. I revisit it regularly, tweak the scores, and use it as a way to reflect on what’s improving and what’s stuck.

Recently I started thinking:
Could this be turned into a small side project?

I’m still very fuzzy on:

  • what the real functionality should be

  • and more importantly — how (or if) this could be monetized

The core goal is simple:
👉 help users improve their life metrics through awareness and analysis, not hustle or toxic positivity.

Some ideas I’ve considered:

  • adding psychological insights or prompts

  • using AI to suggest small, realistic actions based on low-scoring areas

  • positioning it as an addon for therapy / coaching platforms

But the last option feels very narrow, and I’m not sure the demand would justify building it.

So I’m stuck between:

“this is a nice personal reflection tool”

and “this could be a small but meaningful product”

I’d really appreciate any thoughts:

  • Does this sound like a real product or just a personal self-help habit?

  • Have you seen something similar done well?

  • Any ideas on positioning or monetization that don’t feel scammy?

Thanks for reading 🙏
