When did you hire your first employee? (bootstrappers)

I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences on hiring your first employee for your bootstrapped company.
At what point did you decide to outsource the day-to-day / operations? Are they remote? International / Domestic? I appreciate any thoughts!

As for me I practice only outsource in Eastern Europe, particularly Belarus. I just hired the whole team and so far I'm glad I did that because prices are not that high as the quality is great. Guess, I am just lucky
