Hi all,
I know a lot of us has used landing page builders to test the MVP or launch stages.
When did you hire an agency to design your landing page? Was a better choice than DIY?
If you can afford it, it might be better to hire someone to help with your landing page, especially if you don't have experience in marketing or copywriting. Yes, it's an added cost, but if you are trying to validate your idea and people don't convert on the page, how do you know if it's because the product isn't good enough or the messaging isn't good enough?
It always falls for two reasons: The product doesn't reach the right audience, or the offer is not compelling enough to take an action.
From what I've witnessed in the startup ecosystem: a lot of entrepreneurs develop the tools they like and then they try to justify it to people (solution then problem) not the way around
Those are definitely two reasons a page can fail, but it's certainly not the only two. One of the biggest mistakes I see Indie Hackers make is focusing on the wrong messaging. It wrote about that here: http://www.seankirbycopy.com/landing-page-conversion/
I will check it. Thank you Sean
You're welcome.
Hey if you neee help with the landing page design I can do it for free!
I appreciate it. If there is anything I need help for, we'll be in touch.
Thank
Sure.
Many indie hackers here are bootstrapping, more than self funding.
Landing pages performed better for me in the past when i could easily change them.
Talk to users, change landing page, talk to users, change landing page.
So you see using a landing page builder was an efficient solution for rapid changes. Am I getting that right?
Yes you got that right. Carrd has been amazing! Big thanks goes to @ajlkn!
I've seen Carrd many times and it seems they have clean themes to setup. But do you think it's time to delegate? Some founders fell to that trap wether to subscribe to a landing page builder or hire someone who is aware of conversion optimization
Nope. It's not time to delegate until it's too late.
By 'too late,' do you mean plummeting conversion rate or your team doesn't have time to do it?
Too much work, a good thing.... and you know that it could be optimized.
