Recently heard a pretty interesting quote:
You know you have a product-market fit when the X axis (representing your users) gets more and more horizontal.
Make sense. What's your opinion? When do you think you have a product-market fit?
To me, you found product market fit when you start growing without direct action. Before PMF you’re always trying to get your product in front of users and get most sales by hand. After PMF it just happens automatically by word of mouth.
It’s like a caveman starting a fire, initially you have to put your whole attention on it. Find the perfect angle, movement and ingredients to ignite it.
But once it starts, you have nothing else to do, except avoid killing it accidentally. You can now focus on everything else (business operation, automating, long term plans).
If you’re not growing automatically and easily, you don’t have it.
Love that description!
When you don't have time to be on IndieHackers.
this is a good one haha
I often refer to the Superhuman case study, because it illustrates a lot of critical zone when it comes to PMF analysis
