When to consider "desirability" as validated?

Hey everyone :)

I built https://basicproblem.co/ as a landing page to validate the "desirability" of my idea, measured in newsletter signups. To target potential customers, I've started a Google Ads campaign to get traffic on the page.

What I'm currently wondering about is an apparently simple question: when do my KPI give me enough confidence to move on to the "feasibility" and "viability" stages?

From an Ads point of view, I have a CTR of about 2.4%. From an Analytics point of view, I see a conversion rate of about 1.2% (that's "final" signups after double opt-in.) Which makes an Audience of 7 😅

So, what numbers are you using as a threshold to continue to work on your ideas?

I've seen companies like Nuggets succeed in this. I think you're getting into a niche where there's definitely a demand.

In your case, I think the right next step is to go and try to sell these people something. Maybe $1/1 month trial for new ideas.

Thanks! True, actual sales would be strong evidence. I'll consider this, though until now, I only thought to add a paid version later.
