WhenDid? - Looking For Some UX & Design Feedback!

Hi,

I, like everyone else, have been enjoying Wordle with friends and family. But
I really wanted a daily game, with spoiler-free emoji sharing, that I could play with the family members that don't enjoy word games. I didn't find one that I like so I made my own. It's called

WhenDid?
https://whendid.app

It's a daily pop-culture dates game. I would really appreciate any feedback on UX, design, or even some suggestions on some daily questions. It's built with NextJS and ChakraUI.

Thanks,

    First impressions:
    ( I got the Netflix question )

    • Loading time feels a bit long for a fairly simple website

    • I would add some horizontal padding to the question section. It feels too tight as it is now.

    • Add more space between the question and the answers section.

    • The slider should really be shown by default. The first answer section has a range between 1980 and 2025- it sucks going through them one by one.

    • When I enable the slider, the settings section gets pushed out of the screen.

Hopefully I've helped out. Good luck!

      Thanks for this!

      • I have a "minimum loading time" to prevent the page popping in and out while it loads, so I cut that in half. I'm hoping that the random text strings while loading makes this a little more user friendly still. Thoughts?
      • I agree about the padding/spacing so I've adjusted those as well.
      • The clicking the one by one is unique to desktop browsers, so I updated it to have the slider show by default on those browsers. This was something I thought was a pain but wasn't sure about how others might play it, so this feedback was really needed!

Changes are all live if you would be willing to give it another look.

      Thank you so much!

        Just went back in again

It loaded a lot quicker. Also, believe it looks a cleaner now, and the sliders being there by default makes it easier to select options. I hope you think it's better as well :d

I can't really see anything else I'd change- it's a fairly simple page.

        Good luck!
