WHERE CAN I FIND A PIECE OF CAKE ONLINE?

One gap is mobile shopping.
In the market space of shopping, the problem is not as simple an 'online problem'. It is a device problem. The problem is not price checking but shifting the power back to citizen away from large chain grocery stores. That means the problem is both one of transparency, accuracy and just-in-time need
Mobile shopping means it happens in-store at point of choice. Data capture on my iphone using live text API. The datacapture needs to be in continual mode versus single scan mode (similar to the SparkScan SDK). Single scan mode is still too tedious. Ulimately all the stores will offer there own mobile capture in attempt to hold you as loyal customer, but the app that enables it for citizen will naturally be more valued and trusted (as independing of marketing noise).
At the point of data capture, citizen must be able to performa a REAL price check. Not the silly price checks most apps offer online today, but a real price check as a human does. Real price checks are highly contextual. For example I travel every few months across my country and live in a different region. Pre covid that was overseas and its the same situation. Different context depending where you are. But like most things there seems to be a number of different contexts (context = patterns of price checking).

Here is the detail of one citizen's experience:

The context in my current region is
1 3 major grocery players + 2 organic/sustainable grocery players
2 in store prices often are better than online
3 fake price discounts still exist as government not sorted that out yet

Common solution by citizen in my region is
1 check price for all 3 major grocery players + 2 sustainable online (for all my likely shopping items)
2 go to the store with majority of most favourable (if it is convenient)
3 buy at store + still get a few other things as am there

However, if mobile shopping app for citizen existed, then I could stop all this tedious nonsense, and power back in the citizen hands and out of the grocery (FMCG) stores hands. As a citizen go to the store with my iphone, snap, snap, snap... as I walk around the store. Each snap my trusty app tells me 5 things

in store price compared to same store online price
in store price compared to the 2 other major grocery in my region and the substainable ones
trending, quick graph like in price.me or another online alert app of lowest price point (so this gives me, is this good price or average price)
last price I purchased it (as after all myApp with my data -- stored in myDropBox)

Build that and I would definitely pay + plus share with the all the Lifestyle village members I am currently with (400). I relocate every few months as part of my job. Once a group of 'shoppers' get this app, rapid traction as WOM will spread it. No need to market if the app can really do it, easily and well. Sell it self so long as pricing model is not greedy.
