Where can I find your parents and/or your less tech-savvy relative/friend?

After having many crazy conversations, and helping my mom countless times with her passwords, I decided to write an ebook about the issue.

The ebook: Is Password! your password?

Status: I'm finishing writing it and I already have a pre-order page up (if you want to take a look: https://gismullr.gumroad.com/l/ispasswordyourpassword)

The issue: reaching my audience

My audience is not here on IH, they are not on Twitter (or if they are, they don't want to read about passwords and security), and even if they are on FB, they also don't want to read about tech-related stuff over there.
Where can I find them?

I'm working on infographics* to try to make the info more approachable and see if I get more traction. But so far I have a lot of people saying, oh my mom needs that, but no one is pulling the trigger.

*I wrote something about turning data into infographics:
A picture is worth a thousand words: Turning Data into Infographics

I like your idea. Many people would benefit from that.

My mom is not super tech savvy. Online, it's e-mails and Facebook. But here's the thing, she won't buy anything online.

Either because she doesn't understand how or just doesn't want to buy using her credit card.

My girlfriend was running an online business for some time and when she wanted to buy things from her, she would look on the website then call her up to purchase instead of just doing the transaction (which was a pain btw because it meant updating the inventory by hand and handling the cash transaction itself).

She was dealing with a business she knew she can trust. I built the website. Her in-law was running the company. Yet, she wouldn't buy online.

Thanks for your feedback. That is a great point.
I'm dealing with so many tricky spots with my audience. I see that people would be interested in the ebook, I just have to find the best way to reach them and make it easier for them to get/read the book.

I had two people ask about printing it, but at this moment I have several links to videos and articles/resources, so I can't see this working in print. But it is definitely worth thinking about it.

Like you said, even if I get someone interested in what I'm writing, if they don't like buying things online, they won't pull the trigger. So I need to have more options.
