Where do keyword research tools get their data from?

It varies a lot. Mainly they get it directly from Google.
Some create their own crawler, and the last option is to buy dataset from third party crawlers who make a living just crawling Google and selling the data to companies.

      Thank you very much!

Do you think there is a way I can get the same data from TikTok for example?

I doubt it. TikTok has just recently released its API, it's relatively new.

I think it'll take time before they can deliver that type of data if they ever will. On top of that then they will probably monetise it.

Thank you for that mate I greatly appreciate it.

I'm looking into great an Aherfs/Ubersuggets but for TikTok (and potentially other social media)

I can see that the trend is moving away from Google for search and more towards TikTok (https://www.businessinsider.com/nearly-half-genz-use-tiktok-instagram-over-google-search-2022-7)

The keyword search tools we're definitely one of the most profitable SaaS's to come out of the Google search revoltuion. I assume history will rhyme.

How do I create a crawler? and will it generate reliable keyword data reliably?
