Where do you find stock photos and graphics for your landing page?

Hey all, just curious on which sites you search stock photos to use for backgrounds on a landing page. Same with interesting graphics, or are graphics something you need to design/buy custom ones yourself? How do you ensure that you have unique photos/graphics or is that not important? Are these free or should you fork a little money to get good quality ones?
