Where do you get lost as an indie hacker?
Even as a 'successful' founder when I started helping out here in the IH community I felt overwhelmed. There was so much to learn.
Previously I had my head down building my business for long enough that I felt a bit out of touch with the latest trends, tools, advice.
1 year in, hanging out here everyday has been amazing. Yet I still feel like there is so much I don't know. Or things I should be able to explain or execute better.
I've (re)discovered blogs, podcasts, people. Found new books to add to my pile. And of course consumed literally thousands of IH forum posts and milestones.
I can't stop thinking about how inefficient this is and I wonder how this can be improved. I'm learning, categorising and sharing many things.
But I do this everyday because it's literally part of my job, how do other indie hackers seek to improve themselves in a more efficient way?

honestly, the #1 thing for me is simply
loneliness. I don't have many friends IRL and most of my friends are folks i've never met on the internet (which i 😍!).so, just knowing there are other folks out there doing the same thing is how i can get "unstuck". the problem is that i need to have active convos with folks to unlock those moments for me.
that can be hard, because, you know... a comment is a comment. but, there's nothing quite like having a video call. 📺
sharing stuff is... sharing stuff. i need the feedback loop!
so, the answer is that i have a lot of video calls with folks. makes the world feel smaller.

whoa! i'll have to check this out!
It's such a great journey of discovery and self-discovery. And one has to be focused and stubborn while also retaining flexibility. I think it's a perfect field for a natural introvert and still when one gives pause and reflects on what one is trying to do, it can be overwhelming for a minute. I.E. right now I am studying React and the AWS Serverless ecosystem for a new side project. So many moving parts; a daily choice to proceed/grow or not!
