Where do you go to look for tools to use in your projects, inspire you or simply check out the competition?

Hello!

TL DR, question in the title: Where do you go to look for tools to use in your projects, inspire you or simply check out the competition?

A little bit longer version:
I am wondering how and where are you looking for other tools and SaaS'es. I mean for usage in your projects, to get inspired by or to research competition and their features/pricing, etc.

I am wondering if everyone is using google or duckduckgo to search for this kind of stuff (of course except IndieHackers).

Or maybe you are also browsing ProductHunt, LinkedIn (?), or some other website aggregators or Top Lists of some kind?

I personally am using IndieHackers, sorting by newest. My only problem with that is that not all posts include links to the websites as I am misled by the titles. But I really like the personal touch coming straight from the creators.

What about you?

I'm using Reddit, Producthunt, and Twitter is also a good place to find ideas

I mostly look at Indiehacker "All Products" list as well as profithunt.com that does a good job aggregating from multiple sources like Indiehacker, Product Hunt, Hackernews, Reddit, etc.

I totally get where you're coming from! I also use IndieHackers, ProductHunt, and sometimes even Reddit for discovering new tools and inspiration. Google and DuckDuckGo searches can be helpful too, but like you said, those personal insights from creators really make a difference. Happy hunting!

Hello @tbonejonez ! To be honest I was prepared for a lonely adventure but maybe we could still talk about it and share our findings?

I tried to reach out to you on Twitter but I am not able to send you a message. Is there any specific channel that you would prefer to talk?

No problem at all! Now problem is on my side, I cannot send you a DM because my account is too new. I actually created it several hours ago. Would you mind following me so I could just send you a message? Twitter is "i_am_michal" (couldn't come up with anything better). Twitter system is not letting me message you unless you will either follow me or my account will be "old enough" I guess. Thanks!

Hi, I have emailed you a couple of days ago. Just letting you know here, maybe it got into some other folder on your email?
