Where do you hang out online?

Hi fellow No-Coders.

Where do you hang out online besides indie hackers?

Is it groups on platforms like Makerpad or more specific Slack groups for tools like Softr etc?

Are you in Slack groups? Circle communities? Online forums?

Do you have a go-to group that’s your favourite and if so, why?

Is there anything missing from these groups?

For me, what’s missing is one central place where they can all combine! I don’t want to be part of lots of little groups. I want to pull the No-code community together in one spot and I’m happy to build it if it would helpful to others.

Thoughts?

Twitter. It's only popular social media where you choose who you want to follow, as far as I know.

All these facebook or slack groups eventually get a lot of spam, and people leave.

Take some time to choose who to follow, and you will get a lot of inspiration and advice every day.

IH lets you choose who you want to follow!

I want into twitter but I can't find any good twitter accounts to follow, got recommendations?

I often find myself using Facebook Groups, Twitter, and Reddit quite a bit.

Some other notable communities I like to check out: Product Hunt, Capiche, Intch, and Kern.al

      Thanks for sharing. :)

Mostly on Discord or Telegram. These 2 have strong niche based community.

Being a designer, I hang on:

    • Twitter where I chat with fellow builders/designers
    • Have joined a few design centred Slack/Discord groups
    • Sometimes respond to & post in relevant sub-reddits as well

What are some of your favorite subreddits to hang out in? Asking as a fellow designer. 😅

        r/saas mostly :D

I don't hangout in design reddits. Hanging mostly on slack channels for designers. Here's one: https://design.systems/slack/

I spend most of my time on the WBE Space and on Twitter

Twitter mostly. I'm in some Slack groups but as others mentioned, usually too much stuff going on that overwhelms me. Signed into some discords too, same game. I just recently joined IH, but i quite like it so far.

I have a few but the one I spend the most time in is the Wannabe Entrepreneur community by @tiagorbf

Slack is mainly where I hang out. Plus, a couple of forums including thos one :) Not on Facebook, or Twitter as I'm not a fan of either

I hang out on twitter quite a bit and in January I discovered https://wannabe-entrepreneur.com/coworking/ and I basically go there every day now and hang out on the slack. (I might be a bit addicted, but the community is so nice - friendly, encouraging, good advice, it's totally worth it).

Twitter Reddit. I find my audience anywhere I go. So platforms don't really matter to much to me.

I used to be in too many to count. I left them all and decided to just do my own thing and look every so often to places where my attention should be here and there.

The reason I left most of these platforms is because everyone is so fake and after a short term win for doing little to no work. Everybody celebrates & encourages the "fake it till you make it" culture of indie hacking, and I wanted out.

While I'm very technical, nowadays I use many no-code tools to leverage my finite resource of time. But generally speaking, I haven't really seen myself looking for a community of using arbitrary tools to help with tasks around my businesses. I'd rather spend my time just doing it if that makes sense.

    Discord.

Yes, I am using different social platforms like FB, insta, Twitter, etc but I spend the most time on my site @weldingvilla

I found a few years ago that it was hard to find other wantrepreneurs. I guess they're more like to be spending time working on stuff or learning than hanging out in social media channels

Here and Twitter. That's it. I'm one of those indie hackers who find online social overwhelming. Slack, for example, is torture for me. Thank goodness I no longer have an employer who forces me to be on Slack all day every day!

Twitter is the only "social media" I'm part of. Also, I take part in Product Hunt discussions.
