Where do you usually submit your technical blog posts?

Where do you usually submit your technical blog posts? We are wondering if there are sites other than HackerNews that are good for submitting our tech blog posts from https://www.mediamachine.io/blog
HackerNews seems to be a bit hit or miss. Are there other places that have good, engaging audiences?
Any experience with cross-posting on medium/dev.to etc?

Hi there, at Keypup we don't have a history with HackerNews but we post our technical blog posts on Reddit and Dev.to.
Reddit is great because subreddits are little niches where you can easily promote your content (if done cleverly without spamming, in relevant subreddits). Dev.to is more a developer community. YCombinator is also a good idea.
Thanks for sharing your approach! I guess we need to add reddit to our list of places for sharing posts.
Question about sharing on reddit: do you just post or do you get the mods to bless the post first? Is there an expected social protocol to sharing on reddit?
It depends on the channel, usually. Check out their guidelines first -- some are okay with links as long as the meat of the post is in the actual Reddit post.
