For the past two weeks I've been having a blast using different and simple tools to build my side Project called Gamelytix.
Basically, I've been collecting, cleaning, and organizing as much data I can find for as many game titles I can. As a full-time data analyst, it is amazing to finally use my skills to build something related to the industry I genuinely love.
As I am close to finish my landing page and my MVP, I am still failing at capturing an "early" audience. I am not sure whether I should start DMing target people across social media telling about my product that is not available yet.
I am trying to capture followers on my twitter (@TomMazutti) by sharing a bit of my journey but using tags has not been enough.
As I am getting closer and closer to "push the launch button", are there any tips/tricks that I can use to build a small audience enough so eventually I get ONE sale?
Thank you so much for all the learnings this community has provided me with.
Cheers,
Let me offer my observations and suggestions.
Tom, I'm in the same boat. I find it almost impossible to build an audience. I try to provide value wherever I can, but there doesn't seem to be very much net positive from doing so.
may take months to years. if you are in the edge of launch, its not viable to wait for audience building.
I can relate
I'm in the same position. It's hard.
I've decided to finish building my MVP and dm people. Just keep pushing it.
What I'm not sure about is whether I charge for it from day 1, or provide free access so I can get users
