Use SEM Rush/ahrefs (they have free trials but you can continue paying if you want) to assess Domain Authority. If they have a high DA - 40 or above you could offer to guest post? It's just one way of doing it as it indicates how Google 'sees' the site. Equally google some key terms and see what sites pop up and target them.

I think this is a good, quick approach to establish a baseline for determining whether a guest post is worth writing on a given site or not. It's an approach we've used with success.
I would like to caution generally, however, against using DA as a proxy for how Google sees a site. DA is a metric made up by SEMRush/Ahrefs/Moz to singularly estimate how strong a site is. They are guessing though. I think a better metric to track is traffic and keyword metrics (which these same sites provide).
I've come across several sites that are authoritative in their niche that have a low DA but high rankings and traffic. Sites in your niche, even with a low DA, could still very well be worth your time to write a guest post on.
Yes definitely. DA is just a quick way of working this out. Also other metrics like social shares can be useful.

Do a Deep research which sites fit best for your content and asked them nicely.
