Where To Launch?
Good afternoon, I was hoping for some guidance or advice on where to launch my new product.
I am coming to the end of the project, the software just needs re-testing and re-testing again, finalising the landing page etc..
Basically my product is the result of time utilisation during COVID 19. I always wanted to build a system that would help me personally sell premium code online myself, with everything I need to manage and support my product, subscriptions and customers, without having to rely on third-party solutions as I currently do.
My initial idea was to Launch the product on CodeCanyon as a PHP Script Category item. would you think this would be a potentially successful move?
I really do not know how to get the best (financially) out of my product and would love to hear if anyone has any thoughts, suggestions or ideas on how or where is best to launch my new product.
There are so many channels to choose from (actually my current site, https://zerotousers.com is focusing on this).
From looking at what you offer, I think going 1-on-1 (cold emailing/contacting people) will be a better idea. Get people who have popular Github repositories and pitch them your idea, see what they have to say. Have you tried doing something like this?
Hey thanks for the advice, No I have not even considered this route. My Product does mot focus on repositories, it is just a feature. My target audience is authors on Codecanyon. Trying to reach them to allow them another avenue to sell their premium products, this is why I thought Codecanyon Route would be best.
I really like the ide of the repository approach on larger companies in Github, this could be a dedicated focused next product perhaps! - we going halves? ha ha ha :)

Well, there are plenty of repos on Github maintained by smaller authors who may want to provide a "premium version" of their product. Their repository is probably getting traffic, so they could just include the premium version in their README and start getting some sales right away.
As for CodeCanyon, yeah, I think it's a good idea. I see a lot of the authors also have unique usernames which you can Google/find out their website (in case it's not there already) and use a tool like Hunter to find the emails.
