Where to publish my landing page test
Hi all,
I'm working on an app that targets HR professionals and before I go too deep on building it, I want to publish a landing page and see if I get sign-ups.
My problem is that I can't get HR people to visit my landing page. Until today I have only 3 visits, so I can't validate the idea. If people were to visit and not sign-up, that would be a clear feedback - but the fact that I can't get visits probably means I lack marketing.

I once saw here a Google doc with many groups and places to publish a beta, but I can't seem to find it. Anyone has a link to this doc or a similar resource?

Have you considered trying to reach out to HR professionals on LinkedIn to get feedback? Another option would be to scrape emails of HRs and send out cold emails.
If you have money you should just buy some ads and drive traffic to it; otherwise you need to build up SEO somehow which can take lots of time. When you launch a page online, nobody knows about it. That's why you don't get visitors.
So how would people normally run a landing page test?
Given the CPC on adwords is +$3, I am assuming most people don't have the budget to pay for enough clicks just for a test.
On the other hand SEO sounds like a long effort, so also not suitable for a landing page test
I never did just a landing page. Though i'm going to for my new product (abtestpro.com) without building a saas product (though I do have a product still).
When I launched my other product, I had MVP working, blog with some posts and even then I got very little traffic. I have google ads running every month and spend ~$80/month. The key is to attract right people to your site. You can always share the site on product hunt or some other places but it may not be your target audience.
You have to spend money/time somewhere. There are no free things here. If you don't want to pay for ads then you need to build search discoverability via some blog posts and articles and share them somewhere (paying with time if you have it, but don't have $$$). Or buy some ads (if you have $$$ but no time). Though, I think ads strategy should be replaced with some natural traffic via seo over time.
