Where would you market yourself for a templating based business

Hi IHers,

I started this project called Buildwithframer.com - where I'll be selling pre-designed templates for creators to use and deploy their site within hours.

I don't have a lot of marketing experience. All my side projects in the last 10 years saw some traffic as I kept posting them on my social profiles. But nothing major happened. I failed to make money from my old projects.

This project is different. I validated the idea with a tweet without even building a landing page and sold about 14 copies of a template. So I got the market validation.

Now that I have build the landing page and other templates, I keep posting them on my socials and posted once here on IH. But not sure where else I can market the templates to start getting visitors on my site.

Fellow indie-hackers, where would you have marketed this templating solution?

Ahh, it wasn’t immediately clear to me that you were referring to the Framer app until I got to the disclaimer at the bottom of the page 😂 might just be tired

You already did the first thing I would do, which is post in their official discord under #template-creators. All apps usually have https://www.framer.com/showcase/ or https://www.framer.com/templates/ pages too. Also see some on Dribbble and specialized marketplaces like ui8 or creativemarket

The designer portfolio feels more like a developer portfolio tbh

      Yeah. Already on Framer community.

Will look at UI8, Creativemarket & Dribbble. Thanks for highlighting these obvious ones.

And yes, the designer portfolio is quite common to be used as a developer portfolio as well.
