Which course platforms did you test, and which did you choose?

I need your help choosing a course hosting platform. I'm testing a few and would love to learn from your experience.
Which platforms did you test? Which did you choose? And what features and factors led you to choose the one you did?
And have you had any surprises (good or bad) after making your decision?
First things First: Don't go for WordPress LMS option.
Now we have established players like teachable,Kajabi,thinkific,Podia etc.
Having tried all of them,I have sticked with Podia because its simple to use,affordable and if things are ready from your end,then your course can be live within 30-min.
Also they have 14days trial option :)
Have you used a WordPress LMS? I haven't, but was asked about this the other day. I'm curious whether it's worth the effort to try a few in order to have a future recommendation for WordPress users, or just steer them away from WP altogether.
Hey Brian, I'm using Podia and loving the modern designs they offer.
They have newly-released email marketing capabilities and they offer the ability to promote your course in a pre-launch phase, if you haven't quite finished all of your content.
In total transparency, I haven't launched my course yet so I'm not sure of the student experience, but you can watch demos to get a sense of the UX.
Appreciate the perspective! I tried Podia as well and liked the experience. The affordability is nice, and it's intuitive to use. I also like the Zoom integration, and ability to bundle coaching out of the box. I was off-put by a $20/mo upcharge for an account for my assistant. I may still move to it, though.
It seems like these platforms are pretty much at feature parity, and the user experience doesn't differ that much. Email marketing, pre-launching, affiliate -- these all seem the same across all options.

I'm considering a combination of features and user experience. Mostly I want to see support for instructional design best practices / ability to offer some advanced online learning experiences for students, and a highly usable authoring experience.
Are there areas I'm missing from this list?
Well as a starter don't go for a LMS self hosted
and don't choose Udemy as well i don't recommend it after they got my money and banned me later on
There are thinkific Teachable and Kajabi but the last one is all one business dashboard of reports and so on
