Which email service do you use for transactional emails?

Hi IHs,
Which service do you use for transactional emails and initial drip campaigns?

My use cases are:

  1. When a new user signs up, I would like to send a drip campaign to show them how to use the platform.
  2. When the user creates a new thing, update, someone from the team creates a new thing. I would like to send a notification email.

What do you use for the above use cases?

Thanks!

I've just started using SES on AWS for case 2. It's extremely bare bones, but for transactional e-mail at high volume you can't beat the price.

I've also enjoyed using https://emailoctopus.com/ in the past.

MailJet and it's amazing, the api has a high rate limit and also give insights on what's the status of an email.

We have been using Sendgrid. No complaints.

OTOH, I had endless issues with Sendgrid. The IP they assigned me had been tagged by Spamhaus as being abused by spammers, which meant that a chunk of my users weren't getting my emails.

Sendgrid's customer support was useless, just sent me the same email every time I asked when it would be resolved, and it continued for months. In the end I cancelled and switched to Postmark.

I'm glad you're having a better experience with them!

Also had this issue with SendGrid. Switched to Mailgun and never looked back.

Sendgrid. You could also apply for their startup program and receive $500 credit.

Thank you @sangoitejas & @karthikmanjunath I have signed up to SendGrid and will apply to the startup program

I use Sendinblue for Transactional emails. I like it because they don't allow spammers to join and ruin the IPs for everyone.

I use Zoho. The pricing seems to be the lowest for a pay-as-you-go plan. I have a low volume so that was the best fit for my use case.

Sendgrid is my preferred tool for large volume emails via API.

Crisp.chat also offers email ability with triggers and drip campaign style. It’s an intercom alternative and they work on a fixed monthly rather than per customer like the others.
