Which Platform is Best for Running Ads

I am building a SaaS that helps businesses/Influencers nurture their audience to build a devoted fanbase. It is not just another Social Media Scheduler/Manager but focuses only on User Engagement.

  • Which platform is good for me to advertise my SaaS?
  • My target audience are Businesses and Influencers who would like to improve their audience engagement.
  • And what are the best practices to follow while running ads.

I am new to Ads. Please guide me to do this right as I am very tight on budget.

Hi, Google Search Ads and TikTok UGC should work for now.

Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads), costs way too much, if you don't know what you're doing.

What you can do, is to set up the retargeting/ tracking on Facebook for later on, so you can start collecting data on the traffic you'll get with Google Ads and TikTok.

Regarding the UGC, you can source the content from billo [dot ]app.

    Hope this helps you! :)

I am surprised to see that no one suggested Google Ads.

I run my ads on all platforms except LinkedIn. I tried it earlier but it seemed very expensive.

For now I run ads on

    • Google
    • YouTube
    • Facebook & Insta (you get this in a bundle)
    • Reddit
    • Quora
    • Twitter

Instagram has a lot of influencers compared to other platforms so I would suggest you conduct an ad for a month and analyze the conversion rate.

If it's good then focus on Instagram and change strategy according to the result.

Also, what is the best platform to target small businesses? LinkedIn?

Adjusting between facebook ads, google ads, and instagram ads. Thats probably the best bet.

Second best is Youtube ads, super cheap and shotgun style marketing. Make something noticable.

Otherwise, do some a/b tests 3 months, and get your data. Focus down.

      Thanks Akshay for guiding 👍
      I will try this option.

Google has been best for me in terms of exposure, lead gen, and general CTR. Facebook is expensive but great for Lead generation. Reddit was the worst by a long shot partly because the ad platform is clunky and immature. The Reddit community is also quite antagonistic towards ads so the ROI was very poor

You've got great suggestions already. I'd like to add that you should try listing on software directories too. Sometimes they're hidden goldmines. While we're at it, 😉, I've got one: businesstoolvault.com/submit-tool. Success!
