Hi Indie Hackers,
I’m a senior software developer with experience in LLM applications.
I have a few ideas for side projects, but I’m not sure which one I should follow.
I would appreciate your feedback and suggestions on which idea has the most potential and why.
Here are my ideas:
Youtube channel about <country> players:
I love soccer/football and I want to create a channel where I showcase the performance and actions of players from my country. Each video will include statistics, highlights, and analysis. Later, I plan to create a website that will allow users to track player performance and access other useful features for soccer/football analytics.
Web application for chat gpt bots:
I want to create a web application where businesses can create their own chat gpt bots based on their custom knowledge and put a chat bot widget on their site to support their clients. The chat gpt bots will be able to answer questions, provide information, and handle requests from the clients. The businesses will be able to customize the bot’s personality, tone, and style.
Producized micro agency for chat gpt bots:
I want to create a ‘producized’ micro agency where I and my friend (Quality Assurance specialist) will be helping clients introduce chat gpt bots to their existing services. The scope/subscription plan of this work will depend on the clients’ needs, so there will be a basic plan where we will offer a simple service to set up a custom chat bot on their site. Up to an unlimited plan where we will offer unlimited support and maintenance for the chat bot.
4.Dedicated chat bot application for hospitality industry:
I want to create a dedicated chat bot application for the hospitality industry where owners of resorts/hotels etc. can feed the chat bot with their knowledge and include the chat bot widget on their site. The chat bot will be able to assist the guests with booking, check-in, check-out, amenities, and other inquiries. Additionally, the owners will have access to a dashboard where they can monitor and manage all the conversations. In the long term, they will have the ability to set up more bots that will be responsible for different segments of their business, such as potential clients, current clients, etc.
5.Partner with an existing indie hacker:
I stumbled across this idea https://www.indiehackers.com/post/finally-got-the-opportunity-to-make-money-off-my-project-92aebf76d9 and I believe it has a big potential to grow. It’s a web app that allows users to create custom songs using AI. Should I write to the idea owner and propose him a partnership? I could deliver a better website experience and help with the development. I think working with a group of people gives a better chance to achieve success.
So, what do you think? Which idea should I pursue and why? I'm curious about building in public thus I have a plan to share with you my next steps here :) Please share your thoughts and opinions in the comments. Thank you for your time and feedback. 😊
Just to give you some more background information, I'm a senior developer with many years experiences in IT industry(working for corporations). However I struggle so far with selling/finding first users to my side projects. Thus I'm here to find a better future for me :)
