As a bootstrapper and an Indie hacker, I am always on a lookout to save my monthly costs as much as I can :)
In my opinion, the website builder should have a life-time plan with a limited features obviously.
What do you think on these lines?
I am normally the exact opposite and don't worry about the subscription costs too much if there is value.
What I HATE is the revenue sharing model. I appreciate it is a great deal for the SaaS company, but why should you get 2-4% of my revenue growth you had NOTHING to do with?
It is essentially a software cost AND then an equity swap. I'm looking at YOU membership management tools, invoicing/subscription management platforms, etc.
I paid for one of those SUMO deals for an all-in-one SEO tool about 3-4 years ago. It is safe to say that I keep getting upsell emails and comm's to try and get me to upgrade. Not doing it.
How would a website builder pay for hosting?
You see a ton of lifetime deals for hosting platforms and they fail 1-2 years after.
I agree!
In that case, only website builder not hosting included
