Thinking about changing the tagline for Tipalink from "Tip web pages" to "Tipping as a service". Which do y'all think is better?
Yeah, I think "monetize your work" is good. Really you need to speak to your customer: admins and devs. Your users are the ones giving tips but they are not the decision maker that decide to implement the tip solution.
Maybe building on it with "monetize your work by accepting tips" or "let your happy users tip you". Evoking a positive, happy feeling might be a good idea rather than just communicating the data/purpose, which I am at fault for as well.
I've been using "monetize your work online with tipping" on some platforms. Perhaps I should stick with that. I get what you're saying about speaking to a feeling rather than the rational mind. Definitely come from a tech/analytical side and maintaining a greater perspective is important to consider. Plus people react more from emotions; good point.
From a fellow Charlestonian, I agree with these guys. Your audience is the MAKER - not the tipper. "Monetize Your Work" is real good. A few others to kick around...
"Monetize Your Talent"
"Instant Gratuity"
"The Appreciation Platform"
"Make More of Yourself"
"Up Your Earning Potential"
"A Little Something Extra"
"How Makers Make More"
"Do What You Do"
This is awesome, thanks! I particularly like "Monetize Your Talent" as a potential replacement for "Monetize Your Work". “Work”, while descriptive, maybe sounds too boring and drab. “Talent” is more positive. I also like "Up Your Earning Potential". Could use that in outreach. Thanks so much!
Great stuff here... just throwing a couple extra cents in there :) -- "Make & Receive"
Tip web pages tells me what it is in the title
Tipping as a service sounds like something for developers only not end customers and is broad and unspecific, would developers for the next uber and delivero use it? ..
There’s an API that I plan on marketing to developers and other startups. So perhaps I could use “Tipping as a Service” just for that audience. Thanks for the feedback
Yeah, *aaS made me think that it's something I couple implement into my own code, and not necessarily a consumer / end-user type offering.
IMHO, neither. They don't tell a potential user / customer that they could make money.
Your current main hero text "MONETIZE YOUR WORK" really speaks to me.
ok, fair enough! sometimes we get so close to our creation that it's hard to see the obvious, so thanks for the feedback.
Definitely happens, definitely been there :) Curious to see what other feedback you end up with on this!
How about "A tip jar for your site"
That could work for the Tip Plugin, but Tipalink offers other products/services like Tip Links, a browser extension, and an API. I could definitely use the “tip jar” verbiage in outreach/communication and even target those keywords for SEO. Thanks!
Oh okay!:) The reason I suggested it it’s because it’s something familiar for people, a way of collecting tips
Some other alternatives around tip jar could be:
“Your [electronic/digital/online] tip jar”
“Tip jar with an attitude”
“The modern tip jar”
