Who else is building a web-based consumer product?

I’d love to hear about your project if you’re building for consumers, i.e. not businesses, and are primarily focused on a web application.

What does your product do and what have been the biggest challenges you’ve faced so far?

I think mine sits somewhere between consumer and professional. It provides analytics for blog posts, and is aimed at those trying to grow an audience for their blog. I suppose this could be either a hobbyist, or someone aiming to grow one professionally - https://www.useparable.com.

It's in the super early stages right now, so my biggest challenge is establishing whether or not this is a goer. I'm spending a little money on targeted ads to get some traffic to it, and I'm getting a few signups from that. Soon I'm going to start relentlessly collecting feedback from users and hopefully iterate my way towards some sort of product-market fit.

I have built one back in 2011, had around 1000+ sigunps a day and failed after all. If you don't spend each day marketing your app aggressively, you'll most likely end up with a dozen users paying a few hundreds bucks a month (in best case). On my opinion, you should think twice entering B2C area with low subscription fees.
