Who here actually feels like they did ‘enough’ customer exploration before starting their business?

“You’ll know you’ve done enough customer interviews when you stop hearing new answers.”

Who here feels that they really ‘did it right’ when it came to customer exploration in the beginning of creating your product? How did you go about finding people to talk to, and do you attribute it to your current success?

I heard somewhere that you know you spoken to enough customers once you can start predicting what they will say and the pattern is clear enough from the people you spoken to

This one is hard. Especially for us IndieHackers. I do think we all need to do more customer discovery. I am still doing customer discovery. Hoping to be done soon. But I have done about 15 video interviews and 15 chats with people on Slack.

I don't have success yet but I have seen that doing these interviews has really changed what I was planning on doing and what I thought the core problem was.

It's hard to find people to talk to. It takes a lot of time. You have to find groups where your potential customers live. Maybe its slack groups. Maybe it's some online community. Maybe you have to cold message them on LinkedIn for the kind of position you're looking for. At the end of your interview, always ask people if they know someone else that would be good for you to talk to.

I would say its never enought at last you should never stop.
