Who here is creating online courses?

đź‘‹Come say hello!
📚And tell us about the course(s) you have made or are in progress of making!

My largest one is Hello Together, in which I walk non-native speakers through some accidental misuses of the English language. I work in international teams a lot and noticed a lot of miscommunication I want to help clear up. Germans say “actual” when they mean “current”, for example. They also think “hello together” is English, hence the name of the course.

I love that Course Creators is a group now. Creating courses is exactly why I joined IH.

I am! I run the Sales for Founders course - teaching founders just enough sales to find their first customers and grow a profitable business to $10k in MRR.

I was also recently on episode 123 of the IH podcast, if you'd like to hear more about how I got started with the course and did $20k+ in presales...

I run the JustDjango YouTube channel and host JustDjango where I cover web development with a focus on Pythons most popular web development framework: Django.

We made one for designers: https://weekly.design
    We'll be launching a much-improved v2.0 in February of next year. :)

I made this free email course, 11 Stats Every Influencer Should Know. https://mailchi.mp/influenceweekly/11statseveryinfluencershouldknow

It feels like cheating because I made it and launched it within 24 hours of thinking of doing it. and it's free. Just a test to see if I could do it. Gotten great feedback and it may be syndicated to a list of 200k influencers soon.

cool! Why did you make it?

To see if I could. Also I have blogged and written about stats before. Never saw anyone simply talk through them with plain language. Thought it could help those who learn by audio instead of by reading.

✋I've got some! I teach React over at: https://www.reactscreencasts.com/

I'm always surprised at how difficult it can be to get videos done :) It's just talking into a microphone and showing your screen... right!?

I'm working on a course for beginning managers and plan to have its first run in January.

And I 'm also considering to offer externally the course on coaching skills which I've been running for two years in-house in company I work for.

As an aside, I would strongly recommend anyone interested in Mailchimp to take Paul Jarvis' Chimp Essentials course. I really like the guy especially his warmth, productivity, independent streak, and genuine nature. When I bought the course originally, although it sold very well and the testimonials were good, I wasn't super in love with the value proposition. Subsequently, he has added to the course significantly and all previous subscribers continue to benefit. Great insights so you can get immediately productive on this specific platform. Not a shill, just an admirer and time starved entrepreneur.

I have 3 drip email courses on career development: Excellent Resume Creation, LinkedIn Profile Enhancement, Polished Interview Preparation. Plan to add 2 more in winter.

Check out the landing page here: courses.weisisheng.cn. I will be mirroring a site outside of China and accept funds through paypal (USD, EUR, JPY) but since I used Gatsby, it is pretty fast for non-China visitors.

In Spring, I will add and enhance all the material.
