Who is indie hacking for education?

I'm teaching people the Elixir language via screencasts now.

Previously I cofounder and ran a brick and mortar language school for children for four years. Of everything I've done in my life, that's what I'm proudest of, by far. The occasional thanks from former students or their parents that I get a decade later make the years of crazy overtime worth it.

I've got a meeting lined up with my high school principal (graduated nearly a decade ago) to see if there's anything I can do to help the school. I'm a developer so biggest constraint I'm placing on myself is not to jump into a technical solution straight away. Even if I can leave this meeting having lined up an after school coding program for interested students I'd be happy!

I am working on a social reading app. My aim is to get people to read more and also read together.

I'm teaching people about civics in the US with Fantasy Congress: a fantasy sports platform for politics! (https://fantasycongress.com) Educators love it because it makes teaching civics and government more interesting. Making my first big launch for the 2.0 version next week!

I'm running a growing mentorship platform directed at people in Tech over at https://mentorcruise.com. Audience is mostly career changers, but also students and new grads.

I have been running this for a little over a year now, was able to bring together 500+ mentor-mentee pairs and have 150 mentors onboard, so pretty proud of that.

I have three projects in this space- two are related to programming languages (offering practical, project- and task-based experiential learning for SQL and Java) and another client project realized as a immersive business simulation.
