Who knows the struggle of creating quality App Store screenshots?

What would make the process of creating App Store screenshots easier?

I have Sketch phone templates and screenshot designs from my previous apps that can be leveraged, but I know many indie devs don't have those resources at their disposal.

I recently saw the screenshots from my first launch in 2016 and they were... ROUGH. If you are familiar with this struggle, I want to hear from you.

What are the key features you'd want to see in a self-service tool for creating quality App Store screenshots?

Late to this thread but it's still painfully relevant. I spent 3 days in Figma making screenshots for my last app launch — positioning mockups, getting resolutions right, writing copy. Brutal.

I ended up building a tool to solve it called AppFinish. Upload your raw screenshots, get back a complete pack in the right dimensions for iOS (1290x2796), Android (1440x3120), iPad (2048x2732), and a 1024x1024 icon. Template mode is $5, AI mode with generated icons and 3D mockups is $19.

To answer your question about key features: the biggest ones for indie devs are (1) correct output specs locked in by default so you can't mess them up, (2) no Figma required, and (3) fast enough that you don't lose a day to it.
