So I've spent the past few months building RustCast, a MacOS Productivity App Launcher, and I got 2 sponsors for it within the first month. Funnily enough, its not just free.. its open source, and I made my first few bucks from it. Sure it probably won't get more sponsors, but it still showed me that people still do support open source apps. I'm sure there are people here who use Macs, since thats probably the most common "Vibe Coder" x "Startup" setup... well thats true, but I haven't written the code with AI. I've used it to understand e.g. which API to use, but I've written every line of code by hand. I'm really happy with where its at right now, which is ~400 github stars, and close to 1k downloads.
If you are willing to try out the app and support it, you can get it at https://rustcast.umangsurana.com
