Who turned a passion project into an income stream?

I'm curious to hear from people who built something with no intentions of monetizing it, yet later found that it served a niche and could be an income generator. Basically, projects that you built for fun, for yourself, and then later turned into businesses. And I would be interested to hear your answer even if you've only made a little bit of money!

I recently interviewed Giordano, the founder of the youtube channel The Juice Media and he first started the channel without any intentions of ever making money but since it grew so much and decided to monetize it.

That's cool. Pretty nice when you have to monetize it because it accidentally got so huge haha!

We (my mom, sister, and wife) had all wanted to work together and we work really well as a family; camping, fishing, hiking, doing projects and so on. My mom and sister experimented with translating our Grandmom’s strawberry rhubarb pie recipe and then orange drop cookie frosting recipe into jam tarts and brought them to myself and wife at a brewery to try in early summer of 2019. My mom's passion is baking, so we didn't think much at first, but then we all stood around taste testing like hmm we have something here!!!!
