Hey all, happy Tuesday!
I'm a product designer who has worked at many early stage companies like Kit.com at Expa, Mixpanel and Compass.
Reply here in the next 2 hours with a link to a webpage you want design feedback on and I will give you 2-3 concrete suggestions on how to improve clarity and conversion.
Update: This got a lot of attention! Thanks folks - all done for today but might try this again soon.
Hey mate! I'd appreciate some feedback on SaaSHub, as I'm more an engineer than a designer :). Thanks in advance!
Hey Stan! Lots of potential on this. Left some tactical design feedback: https://usepastel.com/link/8jdw5/#/
A glassdoor for software, that's how I understood it and I think this is a clear need. It would be interesting to incorporate some aspects of what https://capiche.com/ is doing with building in cost transparency. That way you tackle alternatives, reviews and cost discrepancies.
Thanks for all the comments, they were very helpful. I've added some contextual comments there.
Thanks @Aloke! Yes, I've considered incorporating the idea of "glassdoor for software". So many ways to go. However, for the foreseeable future I'll be focusing on polishing the "alternatives" and "reviews" concepts. "Glassdoor for software" is definitely on the list though.
Hey! thanks for doing this. It really helps all of us. Kudos to you! :)
here's our app link: www.pixelic.io/feedback . I also suggest using our free tool to save your time by directly adding feedback to images (after you capture screenshot of each sites). Looking forward to hearing back!
For sure, Chris!

I know I missed the 2 hour mark, but would love feedback on MentorPass.co, if you still have time. I launch on Thursday π
Good luck on the launch! Just left some feedback: https://usepastel.com/link/92z40/#/
Overall, I think you can personalize the mentor selection. It is a bit intimidating to just see a page full of mentors. You can either make it personal by having a 5-10 second video of each mentor or you ask interested parties a few questions to then reach out manually with a recommendation of mentor.
Hey Aloke! I'd love some feedback on TechReviewHQ.com if you get the chance. Thanks so much!
Done! https://usepastel.com/link/6jl86/#/
You have some clear language there. I would double down of trying to create an experience where visitors will be like Yes! that's me right now. I'm looking for a new phone!
This is why people love videos by MKBHD. He is so in touch with the news that he is able to mimic the thoughts and questions of his audience.
Thank you for the feedback! You've echoed some things we've heard from others as well. Cool annotation tool btw!
If you still accept links: https://fill.ly
Thanks :)
Hi! Readability is the biggest issue. More spacing, less red and make content a bit more compact and digestable.
Some detailed thoughts: https://usepastel.com/link/eg3e7/#/
Thanks Aloke, I really appreciate your detailed feedback. Adding your suggestions to my LandingPage To-Do List!
Hiya would appreciate feedback on https://cloudegg.net
Thanks!
Hey Veer! Just put some thoughts down: https://usepastel.com/link/58n1v/#/
I think some visual content along with social proof would really amp things up and make it feel like a buzzing community.
I would love some feedback on https://pledre.com , Thanks
Hi Demilade, I think you can amp up the benefits and make the how it works a bit more clearer: https://usepastel.com/link/4y7pj/#/
Thank you. Very insightful. Would make the necessary improvements and update it as a comment on usepastel. Thanks a lot

Hi Aloke! What a kind proposition. Would love your feedback for ipregistry.co.
Really like the optionality of doing something special for your visitors instead of just showing IP. Clearbit is a good example. Maybe say 'Hello you in New York!'
Some thoughts: https://usepastel.com/link/dm8v0/#/
Great suggestion. Will work on funny/corporate and customized messages ;) Thanks a lot.
Not sure if you are still reviewing these, but would love feedback on mine if you are, I've changed things to make my messaging more clear since I first posted it.

Hi Aloke,
Yes please! I'm developing https://www.saucenerd.com and I'm by no means a designer. Any input is appreciated.
Thanks!
Very niche! Love it.
Some feedback on how you can lay out the info: https://usepastel.com/link/7zvo0/#/
Thank you! The split screen idea is interesting. I've been trying to figure out how to include the 'story' on the front page without it just being a boring block of text .
I'll try to sketch a few options out on paper to see how it looks.
Thanks Again!

Not much feedback for you here. I was very impressed with the clarity of the site. Good use of social proof, highlighting impact and clear language balanced with imagery.

Hi John! Some thoughts: https://usepastel.com/link/opyo5/#/
@Aloke thank you - all updated. π. How do i resolve comments in usepastel?
Thanks! Very useful.
Hi Aloke - I just started working on a new redesign for this over the weekend and would love to hear what you think - https://usehoney.io

Hey Stephen!
Here is some feedback on your site: https://usepastel.com/link/3027o/#/
These are really great suggestions- thanks so much for taking the time Aloke! Also, I didn't realize you created Pastel- what a great collaboration idea. I saw it for the first time last week on a different post here on indie hackers and thought it was a really elegant solution. Congrats!
You're welcome! Means a lot. Thank you Stephen.
Best of luck!
Hi Aloke - I just launched a pre-registration page for my app The Beep (www.thebeep.app). Would love any feedback youβd be willing to provide!
Hey Evan! Love the concept of the beeper.
Left some comments for you: https://usepastel.com/link/1oqyq/#/
Hi @Aloke, would love some feed back on https://shoplook.us/. It's actually a mobile app but our landing page still is what gets us users since we haven't launched yet. My focus is on mobile web since it's an app but open to all suggestions. So far gotten about 150 email leads via small campaigns on IG.
Hey!
The single lines of text make it harder to read through the page. Have a look at the new https://bumble.com mobile site. They use an interesting pattern to break up text and image on mobile. Compact and tight paragraphs and images to go along with it.
Here is some more feedback on your site: https://usepastel.com/link/ve7yo/#/
Thanks man! Great suggestions! Will give them a try and see how it works!
No worries! Good luck
@Aloke Wanted to share an update with you. Just fixing the readability, adding images, and reducing the wordiness with imagery helped me really boost my conversion rate from around 2% to 3.5% and drop my CPA to around $.30 cents from closer to $0.75 which is great! Doing some more site optimization I think should get me an even better landing page. Thank you again!
Amazing!! So happy to hear that.
Cool.!.. Damn, i missed this one :). Waiting for the next train!

Hey Matan, less concerned about the design here. I think you have an ENORMOUS opportunity to just got for the price here. Your site name lends itself to showing the low cost. Overall, my feedback would be SHOW don't TELL. I would scrap all the promise words like the row of three boxes. Show the savings on recent deals. Make a claim like Find the best deal and back it up with every piece of text.

Nice work on the site!

Thanks for the great advice! I like the one about the main picture giving the site a dull feel. I wanted to go for a rustic look hence the browns but your absolutely right.
Also your app is amazing.
