  The one obvious option missing above is to ask potential customers. They are the ones you want to convert, so their views are most important.
  
  When I roast pages I always work from who this person is, and what their pains are.

I asked people I know personally . But it's the people that specializes in UI/UX and conversions. Posting here is also a good choice. You might not get any feedback but If you do, it is normally good stuff.

Another option: use data. You can A/B test different landing pages and track your conversion.
