Who's hustling? Tuesday Stand Up!

Why?

That extra nudge of accountability to achieve even a small step on your IH journey each day.

To join in:

01 COMMENT on AT LEAST ONE fellow hacker's progress and give them an IH Point for their check in. Let's get in there with the encouragement/feedback! (Changing the order, because I know we can do better!)

02 Share your epic (a big chunk of work with a meaty objective) you'd like to complete by the end of September.

03 Share what you accomplished yesterday.

04 Share what you commit to accomplishing today.

Optional:

05 Share your Work In Progress to underscore your accomplishments.

Then tune in the tomorrow to share how you did on your own tasks!

Thanks @helengriffinjr good to see you are still kicking it here too.

    2. 1

thanks, I'm actually making a point to not log in here everyday. Sometimes it feels like 'just another check box' which eats at my motivation if I'm not careful and deliberate.

    EPIC
Release new macOS product on Apple App Store
Release Vimalin 64 bits for macOS Catalina

    YESTERDAY
Worked on a simple app to add the content for the new product to a database. This was by using a new framework that I am unfamiliar with. Still unimpressed by how it works, but it kinda works

    TODAY
Add some of the content and write a bit of code to actually find that content so I can display it in "new app"

Also --> go swim at the olympic pool close by my home - need to track a few miles so I can get my mind straight.

    KUDOS
Huge kudos to @Janice for keeping the daily stand-up going for so long already.
You're a rock star for doing this!

    1. 2

Looks like a cool niche product. Look forward to seeing Vimalin in the store this month.

      1. 1

        Hi @tdbryant2

        Thanks!
Vimalin is available today, not in the App Store though, at least not for now.
It can be directly installed via a download from my website https://www.vimalin.com/downloads/

I'm working on another product to put in the App Store (more details will follow later). If that's a success I will consider re-releasing Vimalin via the App Store.

        1. 2

      What's your SEO tactic?

      1. 1

I will go first for all the basics, following the Google guides to have a "ok" reputation from google.
Then I will target couple of specifics keywords, like obviously local, chef, and food truck through the blog. And more precisely geolocalised in France / South-West of France.

(Grinning) Or I have a bad case of "shiny ball" syndrome. How went the pounding?

      1. 1

Very well. what I thought would take all week should actually be done today. More time for testing before I push it out this weekend.

These changes bring it up to the level of what I would want to deliver to clients.
