Who's looking for a cofounder in July 2019?

Being a solo founder is tough. Finding a co-founder who's a good match isn't much easier, but if both of you are on Indie Hackers already, that's a start!

Post below if you're looking for partner or a co-founder. Include things like…

  • your location, or if you're open to a remote partnership
  • whether or not you have an idea, or if you're open to one
  • if you've got an idea, info on how much progress you've made
  • the skills and experience you bring to the table vs what you're looking for
  • your values and goals (cofounders should be aligned on this stuff!)

    Hello all,
I would like talk to smart people who are interested in building a prototype using a JSON, javascript / typescript, and node.js, for mobile web initially, to generate animated visualizations.

Happy to discuss more. Feel free to contact me via email, twitter DM.

And, if there is mutual interest, we can be cofounders of a business.

Look forward to hearing from you.
    Dickey

    Hello all,
I'd be interested in making some connections and potentially co-founding some projects in the future. I am a developer, i have a personal interest in digital marketing and automation. Like most of us, i have lots of product idea's and as a developer i have spent time developing prototypes and exploring technologies around those ideas. But i'd be more than happy to pitch in to bring someone else's idea to life.

I am currently employed full time as technical lead in a development agency and have worked in advertising agencies as a developer for the past 8 years.

I'd be interested in meeting people to discuss idea's with more closely and perhaps someone who is perhaps more sales, marketing, digital focused and less technical as a cofounder to cover area's i am slightly less experienced in.

Looking for app dev to assist in co-founder role.
My app is geared towards business organizing at the individual level. In the way that Business Calendar 2.0 had huge success improving upon the calendar, would like to fill market gap for small business trying to get their stuff done.

Wall of text here, beware ye with ADHD...

Russia, Moscow here, and yes, open to remote partnerships under select conditions.

Have a solid idea, have work-in-progress mockup, have done several short validating talks with prospective client representatives but not genuine validation that would allow to go on credit. It's a web-based application that deals with resource planning automation, and while niche, is useful in several distinct markets in Russia at least. 'Useful' meaning I personally know at least one high-level govcorp employee who would pay for such a system, and know mid-level managers in business who would propone its use for themselves.

I have spent - next to wasted - some money trying to develop a prototype using indian developers and the results are spectacularly lackluster so far - not even an MVP.
I have better development teams in mind, but insufficient financial leverage.

Due to haphazard background of economic and management education, providing economic security (basically watching the business on behalf of its stockholder) and managing software development projects, I can reasonably do all the things that normally sit on the fence - I can read - and understand - and properly ask for clarification on - technical documentation, I can set high-level tasks, and I can understand and take part in high-level and sometimes mid-level architectural talk.
I.E. on the tech side, describing algorithms and datasets and other operations that the business logic layer would need to perform falls roughly within my remit. Intricacies of choosing RabbitMQ vs Apache Kafka does not.

On the business side I have seen and dealt with large government clients in Russia, and have managed custom software projects for some non-government entities of the sold mid-range, so I probably have the expertise and communication skills to ask proper questions and determine whether or not the product will be bought by a particular client or group.

    My goal is as follows:

    • In practical terms, to establish a business that will generate profits for its investors and exist long enough to start bringing profits for me.
    • In philosophical terms, I aim to make certain decisions that business owners have to take automatic - because running a business should not be artificially difficult, and one should be able to take advantage of computer systems to make that part of life convenient.
    • In short-term visionary terms: to change the way owners make decisions on their resource allocation and acquisition, by introducing convenience and automation.

And one additional value, that probably should make the list:
I prefer making arrangements in advance and keeping to them, monetarily as well.
And that means hearing an honest 'no' at the start or at the end of the get-to-know-you period is better than someone just going off the radar.

    Hi all,

I've been working for two months on setting up a code-only, hands-on freelancer marketplace, that would be optimised around coding tasks : https://outcode.io/.

I code myself (I built https://www.flytojapan.app/) but will also need some help on the technical side. I'm launching in September and there will be a lot to be done, so reach out if you believe in the cause, whether you're technical or not ! I'm London-based.

    Cheers,

    Elliot

Hi, I would love to meet a full stack developer to help with my idea which is geared towards Physicians in Private and Group Medical practices. It is going to be a Subscription based solution. And based on my research, the major competitor in this space has a lot of flaws in their product which i would like to correct in this solution. I am located in Maryland USA and open to remote partnership.

Hey Stephen, send me an email. (check my profile) I'd love to talk about this if you're still looking for a full stack dev for this project.

    Hi Indie makers,

I'm building a Crowdsourced Travel platform which helps people with their travel. Looking for a technical co-founder who can build software.

I'm from a marketing/sales background myself and while I know a little bit of coding, it is not enough to build an entire app like this.

Anyone who wants to know more can email me prk@prkspeaks.com

I have a start-up in transport I have been growing the past year, we are now $1.5m revenue run rate and are cash flow positive with funding on the way but still at MVP stage. We are transforming the $50bn a year commercial trucking industry with technology, huge opportunity as the industry is archaic!

Naturally the business model is very tech-centric and we are looking to ramp up what we offer our customers by bringing on an epic tech co-founder! Based in Sydney Australia but open to non-local if they are the right person.

    1. 1

Hey there, sounds like a really cool startup in a huge worldwide transportation sector. Would love to hear more of what you are doing and what are your challenges. Might be the person you are looking as I am a developer and I have been interested in technology for my whole life.

In the meantime - Customers should show your customer list. Now it says Customers in the menu and shows features.

Furthermore, the trucks in the images on the homepage. I feel like they are European and I guess they are not used in Australia. If your market is Australia, you should use Aussie truck photos. Here is a royalty free image which you can use on your website: https://unsplash.com/photos/7eaFIKeo1MQ and here's another one https://unsplash.com/photos/16CrZmN9l60

Revolutionising transport - my first question how? I don't want to offend, but I believe the homepage is not up to date. It is about nothing regarding revolutionising and nothing about the startup and what it does and how does it help people.

Also, the website is not mobile friendly. Big issue. Most of the traffic these days is moving through mobile.

And finally, http://cloud.freightx.com.au/login this page is not secure. Probably the most important page has a connection that is not secure. This issue should be dealt with ASAP.

Hi! I'm a non-technical founder with a mobile app that is built and live in the App stores (both iOS and Android, though the Android version currently has a bug that needs to be fixed). It's called Simili (see simili.co for details) - it helps groups of people decide where to eat and when to meet. Basically... I outsourced development and have run out of money. I would love to find a partner who is interested in taking this and running with it -- I'm happy to stay involved, or to strike a deal if you want more ownership -- because I believe that the product could go somewhere and there were lots of revenue-generating plans in the pipeline, but I can't afford to invest any more in development to get it past this stage.

It's built with React Native and Rails, connects to the Yelp API to return restaurant results, and features a pretty cool algorithm to take into account the tastes and preferences of everyone in the group so that it can make recommendations based on those preferences before facilitating a vote.

Please take a look and reach out to me if you're interested! liz@simili.co :)

      Hi Simili,

Nice to see that you've got the app live.

As a non-technical founder myself, I'd like to know how you went about building this app or getting it built.

I'm looking for a technical co-founder who has knowledge in building apps. I would like to build an instagram like app but with a focus on fashion. I think this could be a really great opportunity. I'm located in West Virginia so I'm completely open to remote partnership. I have tons of notes on how I envision the app to look and operate and I would love to share with someone. My background is in social media marketing & advertising so once we create a MVP I have no doubt that this will catch on. I'm looking for a entrepreneurial go-getter who wants to create something special. I'm a hard worker so I expect the same from my partner but I'm also very relaxed and easy to get along with! If this is something you are interested in I would love to hear from you!

    Hey everyone,

I'm looking to invest/partner up in an established online business that is generating at least $5,000/mo in revenue for the last 6-12 months.

I've been building, buying and selling online businesses for close to a decade now and would love to connect with anyone that is interested! You can find my contact info on my profile.

I suggest Flippa for you then.
In case you're in search of technical assessment of the product you purchase, do reach out to me for a free consultation.
PS: Im also looking to partner up as technical Co-Founder if there's any position there. Ping me if needs be :)
