Why am I developing Inventory Management Software?

Hi Folks, My name is Selcuk. I am founder of Lesstock.

My father has a boutique business and we have been working together for almost 6 years. I left the family business 2 years ago because of the pandemic. I worked as a software developer last 2 years and in August decided to go back to work with my father. After I decided to start working again I noticed some problems inside the shop. We don’t have any inventory management system and it causes a lot of problems. I talked about it with my father and manager, and we decided to get a new system for inventory management.

I tried a couple of cloud-based, user-friendly inventory management softwares but most of them didn’t work on our business. Some of them work but they were too expensive to buy it. In this process, I created a product that would solve my problem and published it as a beta. I started working on it in September and in December 2023 we launched our beta 🚀.

If you guys have any questions I would like to answer it.

Well there have been numerous software applications developed since the inception of the first one like this but the demand for such software seems endless. I would say make it very cheap for businesses to try. Wishing you the best of luck!

Thank you for your feedback. I think the market is very big and probably a very big percentage of people cannot access this software because it's very expensive (ex. Third world countries). Anyway, the market gonna decide it :)

Creating an Inventory Management Software (IMS) is like giving your business a superhero sidekick. Imagine this: you're running a bustling store or managing a warehouse, and keeping track of all your products is like herding cats on roller skates. Chaos, right? That's where your Inventory Management Software swoops in to save the day.

Picture this software as the ultimate organizer, the guardian of your stock levels, the keeper of order in the kingdom of SKUs. Why? Because manual inventory management is so last century. Counting products by hand, dealing with out-of-stock nightmares, and playing hide-and-seek with items on the shelves? Not your jam.

So, you're on a mission to create a digital wizard that not only tracks every item in your inventory but also predicts when you're about to run low. No more "Sorry, we're out of stock" disappointments for your customers. Your IMS will be the unsung hero ensuring that your shelves are always stocked, your orders are smooth sailing, and your business is running like a well-oiled machine.

Think of it as your personal efficiency expert, saving you time, money, and those occasional stress-induced headaches. Plus, with all that data at your fingertips, you can make smart decisions, spot trends, and turn your business into a lean, mean, profit-making machine.

So, buckle up, because you're not just developing Inventory Management Software. You're creating a game-changer, a productivity powerhouse, and the secret weapon that'll make your business rise above the rest. Happy coding, and may your inventory be forever in order!

I just believe for a successful SAAS, you have to solve your problem first, then others. Because I started maybe 3-4 times side projects and never continued with the same energy. This problem giving me motivation.
