I think its because they have a seamless and effective ecosystem of products and the minimalistic design.
Sooo sounds like your saying Apple's brand is really strong, and this is because of their design. But their brand is the reason why people are drawn to it and compelled to keep purchasing their products. Imo, the iPhone isn't anything special and if it wasn't developed by Apple it probably wouldn't have caught on.
