Why are you an indie hacker?

What are your convictions of why you are or want to be an indie hacker or entrepreneur? Is it freedom? If so, what does freedom mean to you (money, time, location, etc)?

If you reflect on what your goals were when you started and what your goals are now, did they change over time? Did you achieve them? Are you still pursuing them?
What will you do when you reach your goals and how do you plan to celebrate it?
