Why "Book a Demo" is killing your conversion rates (and how we're fixing it)

I’ve been analyzing B2B funnels for the last few months and the data is brutal: Buyers are officially "Sales-Call Allergic."

Forcing a prospect to wait 48 hours for a discovery call just to see your UI is a relic of 2015. In 2026, if they can't touch the product in 30 seconds, they’re gone.

We just launched a 3-part deep dive on how to bridge this "Sales Funnel Gap" using interactive demos.

What we covered:

  1. The Psychology of the "Aha!" Moment.

  2. Interactive Demos vs. Video vs. Sandboxes.

  3. A 15-minute playbook for frictionless tours.

I’d love to get some feedback from the IH community on this approach. Are you guys still gating your demos, or moving toward PLG?

100% Agree. 'Validation' is exactly the right word for it.

Buyers are over being sold to; they just want to be empowered to solve their own problems on their own time. That’s the exact gap we’re trying to bridge with Dale, getting people to that 'this works for me' realization without making them jump through hoops or sit through a 30-minute pitch.

Do you think this 'sales-call allergy' is becoming the standard across the board, or are there still some niches where the old-school way actually works?

I agree with the direction, but I think the real shift is from “selling the product” to “letting people validate it themselves.”

The faster someone reaches that first “this could actually work for me” moment, the less you need a sales call to convince them.
