Why build X when Y exists? (opinion)

if you have a unique insight into the problem Z (The problem X and Y is trying to solve )

This is such a great article and exactly what I needed to read write now. It's annoying when you're constantly questioned but how does it differ from x or but z already does that. How do you bat off that question is always tricky.
