Why do entrepreneurs buy domain names?

I guess the most logical answer would be to name a startup/project blog

But

The reason I am asking is because when I used to do dropshipping, I used to base my one product stores on domain names that I find and not the other way around.

So does anyone else look for awesome domains to inspire their next big idea? If not, why do you?
