Hey guys,
I brought today a simple question for you: Why do people use Notion-like apps?
What are your thoughts? Have you ever used it?
Because other options are more opinionated and, even if better and more functional, those choices might not line up with that users case. Instead of buying a perfect cake, people are all learning to bake their own. It’s not better but it’s seductive to have things “just the way you want”
And, How would you like it to be more appealing?
Can it be somehow better? For example, only for individuals, without team invitations?
Well, I mean, that's what I did for myself with dendri.com - I built something that made more sense for my vertical and needs. It's more opinionated since it's always a kanban board and history table that you can sort and export to csv rather than the sort of free-form modular setup of notion. I guess philosophically, to me "better" which is subjective, is something that is focused on your needs as a user rather than being the sort of empty canvas that notion is.
