Why does IH need my revenue?

I made adding revenue mandatory for a few reasons when I created the product pages a few years ago:

1. Revenue transparency is at the core of IH and our interviews, so I wanted to stick to what's worked well for us and what IH users appreciate.
2. Significantly fewer people will share their revenue if it's not mandatory.
3. Putting revenue front and center makes it clear that this is a place primarily for businesses, not just projects, which is a big part of what makes IH different from Product Hunt and other places.
4. It's just more fun to see revenue numbers.

Having to input revenue is a bit off-putting for me too, since I don't want it to be inaccurate but not all of it comes from Stripe.

I do have some zero revenue podcasts I'm going to add, though.
