Something I’ve been noticing, both in myself and in other builders:
You can chase a goal hard, hit it, and still feel weirdly flat afterward.
Not because the milestone was meaningless.
Not because you “want too much.”
Sometimes it’s because the whole process happened in isolation.
Nobody saw the late nights.
Nobody saw the internal resistance.
Nobody saw the moments when you nearly gave up.
And I think that matters more than we admit.
A lot of founder advice is about discipline, systems, output, leverage. Fair. But humans are not production pipelines. We also need meaning, and often meaning gets reinforced socially.
I’m starting to think that one hidden cost of building alone is this:
you can make progress without feeling it.
Have any of you experienced a post-win emotional drop after shipping, launching, or hitting revenue goals?
I’d love to hear whether you think this is about burnout, brain chemistry, or just building without enough human context around the work.
