In my last post, I shared how the Allocation Engine helps users figure out where their next dollar should go. The feedback was great, but it led to a predictable follow-up question: "Once the money is in my brokerage, what exactly do I buy?"
Most people don't want to become day traders; they just want a professional-grade starting point. Today, I am launching the Portfolio Architect on WealthLogic.io.

2. The Logic: Heuristics over Hype We use a Waterfall Logic for these models. As a user moves from "Aggressive" to "Conservative," the tool automatically shifts the "ballast" from equities to bonds. It provides specific low-fee tickers (VTI, VXUS, BND) so a beginner can go from "I'm confused" to "I have a plan" in 60 seconds.
All portfolio math is calculated locally in your browser.
Your age and risk profiles never leave your device.
You can download a full Professional Audit Report that includes your new asset mix to discuss with an advisor.
The Goal: To give every beginner a "Model Portfolio" that matches their life stage without charging them 1% in management fees.

This is a thoughtful progression from guidance to execution. A lot of tools stop at “what should I do,” but giving users a clear, low-friction starting portfolio removes the biggest source of hesitation; uncertainty. The privacy-by-design approach is also a strong differentiator, especially in a space where trust matters more than features.
I’ve seen founders validate positioning like this effectively by observing how beginners talk about investing in Reddit communities; the language around confusion, fear of fees, and desire for simplicity shows up very clearly there. Those conversations often mirror exactly the problems you’re solving here.
Solid approach overall; clarity, simplicity, and trust all working together.
Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback. You truly made my day. I have been balancing the challenge of keeping the tool high utility while strictly adhering to my No Data Retention and Privacy First philosophy.
I have found that most users get stuck on two specific hurdles: Is it enough? and How do I actually get started?
I tried to bridge that gap on WealthLogic.io by making them work together. The Freedom Engine provides that objective Resilience Rating to answer the first question. Then, the Next Dollar Engine provides a step by step waterfall to remove the guesswork for those just starting out.
My goal is to take that overwhelming finance bucket and turn it into a 60 second diagnostic that stays 100% private on your machine. I would love to understand if there are other features beginners struggle with, or if the fear of is it enough is the primary wall you see people hitting.
Really solid insight , distribution leverage and partnerships make all the difference at this stage.

Keeping this '100% private' with no backend is a quiet but powerful statement. Building a tool that intentionally forgets its users' secrets is a rare form of respect — it shifts the weight from the database to the individual's own agency. I've been building with the same philosophy: the most vital context should remain in the private sphere.
Thank you. Privacy and zero data retention are our core principles. Financial data is too sensitive to risk leakage or misuse, so we keep everything local. Best of luck with your venture, and I hope our users value the philosophy!
Question for the IH Community: When it comes to asset allocation, do you prefer the simplicity of a 3-fund portfolio, or do you find yourself drifting into "thematic" ETFs (Tech, AI, Crypto)?
